SABAA Value Statement

SABAA Members are committed to provide quality stairs and balustrades to the building and construction industry in a professional manner with an emphasis on value, safety and customer service.
Benefits of Membership

- SABAA believes that, working together with stair and balustrade manufacturers and associated industry suppliers, the Association can make a positive contribution to legislation that impacts the profession, as well lobbying the various regulatory bodies – including the Australian Building Codes Board, Standards Australia, and the respective State Building Authorities – for the good of the profession.

- SABAA also aims to educate our industry on its legal requirements. As a business proprietor/company director/manager working in the stair and/or balustrade industry, you can no longer afford the luxury of complacency in what has been a minefield of litigation in the wider construction industry.

- SABAA offers networking opportunities with other manufacturers and suppliers in the stair and balustrade industry. This enables you to build up contacts within the industry, and discuss ideas/problems, etc with others facing similar challenges to your firm.

- SABAA also expresses a responsible duty of care to customers and employees of member firms, and keeps its members apprised of new developments relating to industry regulations and products that can safely be used, through industry Guidance Notes, Practice Notes, and other information communications, including our popular, quarterly magazine issued to members.

- SABAA strongly believes that the industry has a prestigious and rich history that is worth protecting and developing, as we address and shape relevant issues such as industry regulations, products, and standards. SABAA also believes that establishing communications that enable the public to recognise and accept SABAA as a reputable organisation gives consumers security, and as a sounding board, should a need arise.

- SABAA also offers marketing benefits, which will be further enhanced as the Association develops. Currently we offer membership stickers and permission to use the SABAA logo on your business stationery, thereby depicting your membership of your industry’s professional body to your clients and business contacts. We also envisage such opportunities as internet exposure, product identification, and a strong customer service focus, will result in public confidence in dealing with reputable and disciplined members who maintain high ethical standards in their business dealings with their clients.
